Transition Animations

There’s always something new to learn – especially when it comes to front-end web development. Between the changes in HTML, CSS, and Javascript and the changes in browsers, it is difficult to keep up. Even if coding was the only thing I did, I’d still find it challenging!

Today, I was just working on some basic transition animations using just CSS. I got some help from Chris Converse’s class, “Designing the Web: CSS Animated Rollovers” as well as some help from Codecademy and W3Schools.

On a side note, I appreciated Chris’s teaching style – especially how he first showed the long form way of writing the transition elements and then how to write those things in short hand.

Anyway, I have a long way to go… but you can check out my progress on  I enjoy tinkering on their site – its a great space to play and experiment with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.  I haven’t done any cross-browser testing, so if you spot any wonkiness, let me know!
